I’m at that drunken stage where I want to pig-out on food, but I need to decide whether I should pursue identifying the plume moth I recently took a photo of, or try adding an old co-worker to my Facebook friend-list even though her religion is the complete antithesis to mine…
Just want to warn any new followers that I do reblog dead stuff (skulls, bones, pelts, mounts, etc.) from my taxidermy blog on occasion. If you’re not into that sort of stuff just blacklist the “taxidermy” tag with Tumblr Savior and it will no longer appear on your dash.
Thanks for the +follows!
I came for the photo-bombing Betta, and stayed for the dead stuff & weird-o chocolate border collie. <3
It’s nice to see someone other than the caddisflies for once.
I’m still waiting for species confirmation, but I think this is Prochoerodes lineola.
A sparrow crashed into my kitchen window yesterday. :(
After so many years of collecting animal parts, this is the first time I’ve ever pinned anything. Normally, I let feet dry out on their own, but I’m a little concerned about the amount of meat on these sparrow wings ~ I might have to pack them in salt.
Saw this handsome boy hanging outside my window last night.
I’m sad I couldn’t get a more clear photo, and I don’t know offhand what species he is, but he’s got to be some kind of an orb-weaver.
